Frequently Asked Questions

Basic answers for new CCalc users.

Version 53.15 (2026)

What is CCalc?

CCalc is an advanced calculator for iPhone. It combines ordinary calculator use with unit conversion, currency conversion, graphing, constants, tape history, and mathematical tools.

Who is CCalc for?

CCalc is for users who want a practical calculator that can grow beyond basic arithmetic. It can be useful for everyday calculations, study, technical work, conversions, graphing, and checking mathematical relationships.

Does CCalc require an account?

No. CCalc does not require an account and does not ask the user to sign in.

Does CCalc work offline?

Most CCalc features are designed to work directly on the device. Ordinary calculations, graphing, constants, tape history, and most mathematical functions do not require an internet connection.

Currency conversion may require internet access when exchange-rate data needs to be updated.

Why does CCalc use the internet?

CCalc may contact the Frankfurter exchange-rate service to retrieve currency exchange-rate data. The actual currency calculation is performed locally inside the app.

CCalc does not need to send the user’s typed amount, calculator history, tape history, graphing expressions, or custom constants to the exchange-rate service.

Where can I find the manual?

The CCalc manuals are available from the official website:

https://ccalc.net

The manuals can be downloaded as PDF documents for reading, printing, or viewing on a larger screen.

What is the tape history?

The tape history is a record of calculations and results. It helps the user review previous work, restore useful entries, and keep track of calculation flow.

What are docklets?

Docklets are small specialized tool panels inside CCalc. They provide access to additional math domains and functions without turning the main calculator into a crowded interface.

What is the Grapher?

The Grapher lets the user enter and explore mathematical functions visually. It is designed as a practical graphing tool for checking curve behavior, roots, visible values, and related graph information.

What is the Converter?

The Converter lets the user take the current calculator value and convert it between units or currencies. For example, a number entered in the calculator can be converted from one unit to another within the same category.

Does CCalc collect my calculator history?

CCalc is designed to keep calculator data local to the device. Calculator input, tape history, graphing expressions, custom constants, and ordinary calculation data are not transmitted to the developer.

Does CCalc use advertising or tracking?

No. CCalc does not use advertising networks and is not designed to track users across apps or websites.

Can I print the manual?

Yes. The manuals are provided as PDF documents, so they can be opened, saved, or printed from a browser or PDF viewer.

Will CCalc change over time?

Yes. CCalc is expected to continue improving through testing, refinement, and user feedback. The official website will be used for current support information, privacy information, and downloadable documentation.
