CCalc Privacy Policy

Overview

CCalc is designed as an advanced calculator with unit conversion, currency conversion, graphing, constants, tape history, and mathematical functions.

CCalc is intended to work primarily on the user’s device. The app does not require a user account, does not ask the user to sign in, and is not designed to collect personal information.

CCalc does not sell user data, does not use advertising networks, and does not track users across apps or websites.

Information CCalc does not collect

CCalc does not intentionally collect, store, sell, or share personal information such as:

CCalc does not use third-party advertising SDKs or tracking SDKs.

Calculator data and local app data

CCalc performs ordinary calculations and most app functions locally on the user’s device.

This information is used only to provide app functionality, restore local app state, apply user settings, and continue calculations.

CCalc does not transmit calculator history, tape entries, graphing expressions, custom constants, or ordinary calculator input to the developer.

Currency conversion and Frankfurter

CCalc includes currency conversion features. To provide exchange-rate data, CCalc may contact the Frankfurter exchange-rate API at frankfurter.dev.

Frankfurter is used only as a source of currency exchange-rate data. CCalc may request information such as:

CCalc does not need to send the user’s typed amount to Frankfurter. Frankfurter provides exchange-rate data, and CCalc performs the actual currency conversion locally inside the app.

For example, if a user converts an amount from USD to EUR, CCalc may request the relevant USD/EUR exchange rate, but the app does not need to send the user’s full calculator history, tape history, graphing expressions, custom constants, or personal information.

Frankfurter’s public documentation states that the API itself does not collect personal data. It also states that the public service runs behind Cloudflare for performance, and that Cloudflare may collect some basic information for analytics.

As with most internet requests, technical information necessary to complete the request may be processed by the network or service infrastructure. This may include information such as IP address, request time, user agent, and requested API path.

CCalc does not use this technical request information to identify, profile, advertise to, or track users.

Exchange-rate data may be cached locally on the user’s device to reduce unnecessary network requests and improve performance.

Third-party services

CCalc currently uses Frankfurter only to retrieve currency exchange-rate data for the currency converter.

CCalc does not use Frankfurter for advertising, user profiling, behavioral analytics, or tracking.

CCalc does not integrate third-party advertising networks or tracking SDKs.

Analytics and diagnostics

CCalc does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising analytics, behavioral analytics, or third-party tracking tools.

If users have chosen to share diagnostics with app developers through Apple’s device settings, Apple may provide crash or diagnostic information to the developer. Any such information is used only to improve app stability and performance.

Tracking

CCalc does not track users.

CCalc does not link app data with third-party data for advertising or advertising measurement. CCalc does not share user data with data brokers.

Children’s privacy

CCalc is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

Because CCalc does not require accounts and is not designed to collect personal information, the app does not intentionally collect children’s personal data.

Data retention

CCalc stores local app data, such as settings, tape history, cached exchange-rate data, and preferences, on the user’s device.

Users can remove locally stored app data by clearing available in-app history where provided, changing or resetting settings where provided, or deleting the app from the device.

CCalc does not maintain user accounts or developer-hosted user profiles.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if CCalc’s features, services, data practices, or third-party integrations change.

If CCalc adds user accounts, cloud synchronization, analytics, advertising, remote storage, new third-party SDKs, or additional network services, this policy will be reviewed and updated.
